I was thinking...What if my goal in life was to not like anybody that read or likes Harry Potter...
Do you think I would have [A] friend(s)? Are there some "cool" people out there that don't obsess over Harry Potter?
I sit in befuddlement as I talk to a friend who is obsessed w/ h.p.
Props to J.K. Rowling for creating such detailed stories to brainwash America, while raking in "over $8 million" on her recent book - Book 7 - not forgetting about her recent Harry Potter movie. I can't imagine how much money she has made over the years with her magical series. I hope she continues to write books and movies, not only continuing to ameliorate her life, but encouraging kids to READ (whatever the material).
Harry Potter is simply not for me anymore. So should I try for that goal :P

Borders bookstore became Harry Potter Central, it was strange. Yeah, this stuff is way too popular and overrated. I'm still wondering how so many people could obsess about this stuff.
To my utter disappointment, a lot of "cool" people I know are actually obsessed with it as well, which is too bad, because they let me down!
So in other words, YES there are cool people who are not obsessed with Harry Potter, and people who obsess over Harry Potter are NOT cool! (especially people my age or older! geesh! get a life people!)

i have absolutely NO idea what ppl are so obsessed with him for...wasn't which craft punishable by death in early america? wtf...
Pretty much everyone I know likes the books as well, from friends to co-workers. So about a year ago at the high recommendation of a good friend, I decided to give the first book a read just to see what all the fuss was about. And I really just don't get it. I didn't absolutely hate it or anything, it just struck me as childish and silly. I guess I can understand some people liking it, but obsession is a whole different spell.
